Does this sound familiar?
You exercise. You eat well. You're doing all the things. And you still feel exhausted, irritable, and not like yourself.
Maybe you're waking at 3am with a racing heart, for no reason you can name. Maybe the rage arrives out of nowhere and you feel guilty about who it turns you into. Maybe you're reading the same email three times at work, and that frightens you. Maybe the weight is creeping on even though nothing about how you eat or move has changed.
And when you asked for help, you were told your bloods are normal. Or offered an antidepressant before anyone looked at your hormones. Or told you're too young for perimenopause.
These are the words I hear in my clinic, week after week:
"I'm doing everything right and it's still not working."
"What is wrong with me? Why can't I cope like I used to?"
"I'm not going crazy, I want someone to confirm that."
"I feel like I haven't been myself for years, and I want me back."
If you've said any of these to yourself, this room was built for you.
What if none of it was your fault?
You did nothing wrong. Your body changed the rules without telling you.
From your late 30s, progesterone drops first, before your periods change and long before any hot flush. Progesterone is the calming hormone. It works on the same pathways in the brain as anti-anxiety medication. When it falls, sleep, mood and your stress threshold fall with it. Then oestrogen begins to swing, and the tools that worked for twenty years quietly stop working.
You can be doing everything right and still not recognise the woman in the mirror. I sit across from women in exactly that spot every week, and what changes things for them is never more effort. Understanding your hormones is the only way to work with them instead of against them, and feel like yourself again.
Imagine your next doctor's appointment going differently
You walk in with a short list of clear questions. You know which tests are worth asking about and what the results mean. You know what the evidence says about HRT, so whatever you decide, it's your decision, made with your eyes open. You understand why your weight behaves differently now, so you stop fighting it blindly. You have a plan that fits a full life instead of adding to it.
That's what I can teach you. You're back in the driver's seat.
Why I built this room
I'm Dr Taisia Cech (MBChB, BSc, FRNZCGP, FASLM), a GP in women's health, based in Wanaka. I sit with women going through this exact transition every week, and I see what a 15-minute appointment can never fix. She doesn't lack effort. She lacks guidance, the right tests, and someone to help her make sense of it all.
Traditionally, perimenopause has been approached mainly as a medication question. My work brings the hormones, the lifestyle medicine and the metabolic layer together, because your sleep, your food, your muscle and your hormones are one system, not four separate problems.
When I run my Perimenopause Reset courses, the two things women value most are the live calls and the other women. So that's what The Morning Room is built around.
Here's some of the feedback I get:
"The coaching calls were such a highlight; the kĹŤrero was so supportive and reassuring. Being reminded that what I'm experiencing is normal, and having resources I can keep coming back to, made a huge difference."
Introducing The Morning Room
The Morning Room. The perimenopause membership with Dr Taisia Cech.
A calm, doctor-led membership for the perimenopause transition. One live hour with me every month, a course that explains what's happening in your body properly, and a room full of women in the same chapter.
"I don't have time for another thing." Of course you don't. That's exactly how this room is designed. One live hour a month, and everything else sits there waiting for when you need it. No modules to keep up with, no homework, no content overload. It's built to remove work from your plate, never add to it.
What being in the room actually does for you
Know what's happening and why
Rooted in science, translated clearly, never dumbed down.
Get the full toolkit
Lifestyle, HRT and other medical options, evidence-based supplements, and the metabolic layer.
Ask for the right things
Which tests to discuss and how to talk to your doctor, so you get the help you need.
Stop doing this alone
A doctor in the room every month, and women who get it.
What's waiting for you inside
Understanding Perimenopause, the complete course
Know what's happening in your body and why, why there are so many symptoms and how they can affect every part of you, what your options are including HRT, and how to talk to your doctor so you get the help you need. It sells on its own for $100. It's included in your membership.
A live hour with me, every month
Bring your questions, hear what other women are asking, and get the teaching a 15-minute appointment never has time for. Daytime NZ time, and the replay is always there if the timing doesn't line up.
(Please note: this is general education and not personalised medical advice.)
The Recipe Vault
My full plant-based collection, so eating well for your hormones stops being another research project.
The Yoga and Meditation Library
Recorded practices for the days your nervous system needs looking after, from ten minutes to a full session.
The Community
A private space with women in the same chapter, where "is this normal?" is a safe question to ask.
The Patient Handout Library
The actual handouts I use with my patients in clinic, on everything from sleep and iron to tracking your symptoms, ready to download and keep.
And the room grows every month.
The founding investment
Let me put this in context. A first appointment in my clinic is $399, and my books fill weeks ahead. One-to-one time will never stretch to every woman who needs this. The Morning Room is how I teach what an appointment never has time for, and you get a live hour of it every month.
This founding window, 1 to 6 September, is the only time The Morning Room will ever be $17 a month. The price rises after this launch. Founding members keep $17 for as long as they stay, because you're helping me shape this room, and I want you to be rewarded for coming in first.
$17 a month
Cancel any time. Stay as long as it's helpful.
Become a founding member, $17/monthThe first month guarantee
I want joining to feel safe. Come in, do the work for your first month, and if the room hasn't given you value, I'll refund your first month. The full details are in the membership terms.
There's no lock-in either. You can cancel any time, yourself, from your account settings.
A founding-member bonus
The Understanding HRT booklet. My in-depth, evidence-based guide to hormone replacement therapy lands inside the room in September. Founding members get it as part of their membership the day it arrives. It will also sell separately at $47.

Become a founding member, $17/monthThe Morning Room is for you if...
• You're in the perimenopause transition, or you suspect you are, even if you've been told you're too young.
• You've done your own reading, and you're tired of guessing which of it to trust.
• You want to understand your body and make your own informed decisions, about HRT and everything else.
• You want a doctor who has time to explain, and other women who get it.
And it's probably not for you if...
• You're looking for personalised medical care. The Morning Room is education and support. It will make you a better-informed patient wherever you get care, and it never replaces your own doctor.
• You want a quick fix or a promised result. I teach, I don't promise outcomes. No honest doctor can.
• You'd rather work through this completely on your own. That's a valid choice, and my free articles and newsletter will always be there.
Questions you might be asking
"I've already tried everything."
"Can't my GP do this?"
"Is this medical advice?"
"Why is it only $17?"
"What if I'm more 'is this perimenopause?' than certain?"
"I'm not in New Zealand. Can I still join?"
"What happens if I miss the doors?"
One more thing
Somewhere in the last few years, you stopped recognising yourself. You've been coping, and researching, and being told you're fine, for long enough.
There's a reason. Your hormones are changing. And understanding what they're doing is how you get yourself back.
